Grade Five Newsletter
May 28, 2010

Our D.A.R.E. graduation will take place on June 1 @ 7:00 p.m. in the cafeteria.  We do expect children to dress appropriately for the special occasion.  The stage will be warm, so please keep that in mind when selecting an outfit.  We don't want them sweltering in the heat.

Thank you to the families who helped make the plays such a success Wednesday night.  These events are so worthwhile, but they do not happen without support from many.  We were very proud of the actors and actresses in our presence.

Wellness Carnival - May 28. 

The spring concert for fourth grade band, fifth grade band, sixth grade band, and chorus will be Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at 6:30 p.m. in the PCMS gym.  Students who are members of the mentioned performing groups are required to be at the performance as it is a large part of their grade.  Concert dress is black shoes, black socks, black pants (or long skirt) and a white shirt.

Next Friday we will enjoy the D.A.R.E. field trip to the Benton Family Fun Park.  Children may bring money to purchase something from the snack counter, if you would like.

It is close to time to consider sending bags to school to clean out lockers, desks, and displays.  We will not save everything for the last day, as there are many things to be cleaned up before the end of the year.

Thursdays - Clarinet @ 9:30 a.m.
