MSAD #4
A Great Place to Learn

VISION

Our schools strive to educate 21st century citizens who will be lifelong learners and responsible contributors to society through cooperation with family and community.

MISSION

SAD #4 schools prepare students for the future by providing a challenging education that builds academic competence, develops responsible, productive citizens, encourages creativity, promotes lifelong learning, and advances critical thinking and technological skills.  Our schools reflect a commitment to personal well-being and foster respect for self and others.

DISTRICT GOALS

1. Recognizing the existence of declining enrollments, SAD #4 will strive to maintain and improve existing curriculum and programs.

2. Expand communication with the citizens to solicit their involvement and ideas in determining alternatives to the impact of declining enrollments.

3. Examine options to the impact of declining enrollments and establish a unified school board response.

4. Provide a physical, social, and emotional safe environment for students and staff in a changing social environment.

K-12 EDUCATIONAL GOALS

A creative and practical problem solver who observes situations objectively to define problems clearly and accurately; frames questions and designs data collection and analysis strategies from all disciplines to answer those questions; identifies patterns, trends, and relationships that apply to solutions to problems, builds a case for the best response, and critically evaluates the effectiveness of this response.

A responsible and involved citizen who recognizes the power of personal participation to affect society and demonstrates participation skills; understands the importance of accepting responsibility for personal decisions and actions; knows the means of achieving physical, social, emotional, and intellectual well-being; and recognizes and understands the diverse nature of society.
