I'm from the class of 1988...now I'm back to finally get a college education through ITV- what a great service for a mother of 3 who works full-time! Email me if you want, but I warn you...I'm going to be ver-ry busy for the next few years. Seriously it would be nice to hear from my old classmates.
One other thing- I have 3 kids ages 10, 4, and 2.5, and we'll be staying right here in SAD 4 for their school years. I know it's difficult to earn a comfortable living here in Piscataquis County, but where else can you find schools as dedicated?

I heard about the iBooks and had to visit your website. At our school we use PCs running Windows NT 4 and they are so slow and buggy. I think our school should take a leaf out of your iBooks and upgrade to the Macintosh platform.

Let me be one of the first to congratulate you on providing your eighth grade students with laptop
computers for daily use at school. It's great that students don't have to be left behind because
of lack of funds to purchase and maintain their own computers.

I have just recently been asked by the District's Board of Directors to serve as interim superintendent until a permanent supt. is selected next year. Supt. Norm Higgins has retired after successfully leading the school system into the 21st century.
I have found the school culture, its academic and extra-curricular programs, the staff and the community support to be simply outstanding. I do not say this lightly as I have over 30 years of public school experience as a teacher, adult ed. director, curriculum and library resources specialist, building principal and almost a decade as a superintendent for three similar school systems. On first impressions, this is a quality operation! I wish, in my youth, I had had such a good school system to attend.
Looking forward to helping the district in whatever way I can to maintain its high standards and outstanding achievements while facing the challenges of declining enrollments and limited resources. Kids first!

Recently my husband (Ray ,also a former student of PCHS), and I took a trip back to Maine and visited a former teacher, David Lyon. We had a wonderful visit and he's doing great and is as wonderful as ever.

Hi, I am currently in 8th grade at PCMS I love our school district and i cant wait until next year when i am in high school all of the teachers here are SOOOO awesome.
