Budget Meeting

The SAD #4 district budget meeting will be held at Piscataquis Community Middle School on June 13th at 7:00 PM.  A school budget for the 2006-2007 school year will be approved at this meeting.  The proposed budget meets the needs of the students of SAD #4 while maintaining fiscal responsibility.  A copy of the proposed budget will be delivered to your home in the near future.  Folks that are interested in quality educational opportunities for children are urged to attend the meeting, and exercise their right to vote. There will be an informational session the same evening at 6:00 PM

Guilford REC Program

Parents with children interested in participating with the Guilford REC program are ask to turn in permission slips by June 14th to Mr. Gallant at PCMS.  If your child plans on participating with the YMCA swimming program, you will need to pick up the registration form at the Guilford Town Office.  The cost is free for Guilford residents and $15.00 for Non-Residents.  Swimming is Free for Guilford residents and an additional $18.00 for non residents.  Thank you.

Lunch and Milk Bills

Please remember that all lunch and milk bills must be paid by June 16th.  If you are not sure how much you owe, please call Mrs. Cleaves at 876-4590.

Library Books

As this year comes to a close, could you please check your child’s bookshelves or other places where school or classroom library books may have gotten mixed up with his/her own?  We would appreciate you sending any you find back to school.

Appropriate Clothing

As the days get warmer, we start having questions as to appropriate dress for students.  These items of clothing are inappropriate:  saggy tank top shirts, halter tops, tops with spaghetti straps, tube tops, belly shirts, and excessively short shorts.  If your child wears low cut pants, be sure that an appropriate shirt covers the midriff, especially when sitting.  For safety reasons, students who wear sandals may want to change to sneakers for running at recess and movement class.

Picking Up Your Child

When you pick up or drop off your child at school, please be sure to sign your child in or out on the clip board in the front hall.  Before going down to your child’s classroom, please check in with the secretary.  We want to insure your child’s safety in school.

Parkman Preschool

The Parkman Preschool is accepting registration for the 2006-07 year.  Space in the program is limited to 20 children.  Applications can be obtained from Louise Ringle, Center Coordinator by calling 876-4450 or by letting your child’s teacher know that you would like an application.
