We want to thank everyone for coming to the Christmas Concert. What a wonderful way to start the holiday season!
A pair of glasses were found on the stage at PCHS Tuesday night after the holiday concert. Please call Guilford Primary at 876-4590 if they are yours.
Students and parents need to be reminded that cold weather is here. Students do go outside each day for recess and need to dress warmly (hats, mittens/gloves, jackets, ski pants, boots). Our school policy states that: Weather permitting, students participate in recess each day. Decisions to have recess during cold weather depend upon the temperature and the wind chill factor. Students should always dress for outside recess. Only students with a medical excuse will be allowed to remain in the building during scheduled outside recesses. Students well enough to attend school will benefit from a short period of time outside for fresh air and exercise.
If you have moved or changed your phone number, please contact Mrs. Cleaves at 876-4590 with your new information. It is very important that we be able to reach you in case of an emergency.
Due to many problems lately, we want to remind you that if your child is making any changes in how he/she is getting home we MUST have a note. For safety reasons, we can not take your child’s word on where they are supposed to go. Neither can we call parents at home or at work when buses are waiting for them to board. If your child has a CLC program after school, they must attend unless we receive a note from you in the morning. We appreciate your help with this.
We want to thank everyone for sending in their Hannaford certificates. The total was $150, which will be split between both schools. The money will be used for educational purposes.
Our next session of “Supper With a Side of Reading” will be held on Wednesday, January 4th. The program will be held in the GPS multipurpose room. Supper starts at 6:00 p.m. This month's menu features shepherd's pie and this month's adult workshop topic is: Strategies Your Child (ren) Is Learning as He/She Reads.
IF YOU CAME TO THE LAST EVENT AND WILL NOT BE ABLE TO MAKE THIS ONE PLEASE RETURN THE TOTE BAG TO YOUR CHILD'S SCHOOL BEFORE WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 4th. See Flyer sent home for more details or call Charlotte Violette at 876-4590.
Both schools have a large array of lost and found items. At both schools, there is a box in the front hall. Please come in and check for lost items.
The next HUGS meeting is on Monday, Jan. 30th at 6:30 at the
