Valentine Breakfast
Everyone at Guilford Primary had a nice time at
the Valentine’s Breakfast. We would like
to thank all the dads who helped to make this day special. A big thank you goes to Stephen Northup and
Jim Bell for organizing the event. We
couldn’t have wished for a better valentine gift! Gifts from the heart are the most meaningful.
Read Across America
March 2 – the birthday of Dr. Seuss – is the
single day NEA (National Education Association) has chosen to spotlight the
importance of encouraging children to develop a passion for reading.
Green Eggs and Ham at McKusick
On Wednesday, March 2nd, McKusick School will be celebrating Dr.
Seuss and the Read Across America Program.
One of the many special activities planned for the day is a Green Eggs
and Ham breakfast served by our dads. If
you are interested in helping and have not signed up yet, please let your
child’s teacher know.
Snuggle Up with a Book at Guilford Primary
On March 2, come celebrate Read Across America in
honor of Dr. Seuss’s birthday. That
morning, students will enjoy a school breakfast of green eggs and ham as they
listen to a Dr. Seuss favorite read by Mr. Stearns.
In the evening, please join us for “Snuggle Up
With A Book” from 6-7 pm. Students need to bring an accompanying adult to share
in the reading of books. Bring pillows,
pajamas, blankets and anything you need to feel comfortable. Local storyteller, Dyan McCarthy-Clark, will
entertain us with some tales. We hope to
see you there!
HUGS Family Movie Day
Due to the snow storm, the Movie Day will be Saturday, Feb. 19 at
11 am in the Guilford Primary multipurpose room. HUGS will be showing Shark Tales. The cost is $2.00 per person.
HUGS Meeting
The next HUGS meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 1 at 6:30 at
the McKusick School. We look forward to
seeing you there!

Georgia and continued on to Phoenix, Arizona.
McKusick started in Austin, Texas and from there went to Carson City,
Nevada.
We ended our Mid-Winter Challenge with sliding at Haley’s Hill in
Sangerville. Thank you to all of the
parents that went sliding with us!
Remember to keep yourself healthy by exercising throughout the
entire year!
MOVE and IMPROVE
Move and Improve, a
statewide program for adults and children who want to increase their physical
activity and improve their health, is starting up on March 6. Everyone must participate in physical
activity for 30 minutes a day 4 days a week for 8 to 12 weeks. Look for more about this after vacation. This is a chance for all of us to get more
active, maybe win some prizes, and earn some money for our school.
Adults may register at www.moveandimprove.org. Children will sign up at school.
LET’S
DO THIS TOGETHER!
Kindergarten Registration
If your child or if you know of a
child that is going to be 5 years old by Oct. 15, 2005, he/she will be eligible
to attend kindergarten in August 2005.
Registration will be April 1st. Please call Mrs. Cleaves at 876-4590 for more
information and an appointment.
Parking
Please remember that you must park in the parking
lot in the morning and in the afternoon.
The buses need the space to safely transport the students.
At McKusick, please do not pick your child up
before 2:30. There is not enough room for parents and the
buses. Thank you for your help with this
problem!
