Move and Improve
Remember to exercise for 30 minutes at least 4 times a week. Prizes will be given out periodically. Prize winners at Guilford Primary were MaryBeth F., Brittany C., Emma T., Tessa D., Keely T., Nicholas T., Devon S., Billy G., Spencer M., and Brody G. CHIPS Program
The Mount Kineo Masonic Lodge of Guilford, the Abner Wade Lodge of Sangerville, and the Cambridge Lodge of Cambridge are joining together to present their statewide Childhood Identification Program (CHIPS) on May 13 for all children in Kindergarten. The children with parental permission will be fingerprinted as well as having their voices and features videotaped. The videotape and fingerprints are given to the parents. Permission slips went out this week and must be returned to the
Parkman Preschool
The Parkman Preschool is accepting registration for the 2005-06 year. Space in the program is limited to 20 children. Applications can be obtained from Louise Ringle, Center Coordinator by visiting the preschool or calling 876-4450 or by letting your child’s teacher know that you would like an application.

Visual and Performing Arts Festival
The festival will be held for grades K-3 on May 26 at PCMS. Art work will be displayed and there will be a 3rd grade movement presentation at 6 pm. Grade 3 will be practicing on May 26 from 12:30 to 2 at PCMS.

Parents Are Teachers Too
The Parents Are Teachers, Too (PATT) program provides information, encouragement and support to first-time parents and teen parents in order to help them give their children the best possible start. The program offers home visits, parenting groups and access to educational materials and community resources. Parents choose their level of participation in the program based on their interests and needs, and may receive services until their child is five years old.
Information is provided to parents on:
* Healthy prenatal practices
* Labor and delivery
* The process of falling in love with their baby
* Infant care, feeding and nutrition
* Health and safety issues
* Child development
* How to help their baby learn
* Healthy parenting and self-care skills
