No School on: Jan. 16^th in observance of Martin Luther King Day.

Welcome:  We would liek to welcome Mrs. Arther’s to Mrs. Post class.  She will be doing her student teaching for 8 weeks.  We all look forward to having her here with us.

SOCIAL STUDIES: We are currently working on a new unit called Then and Now.  Students will be comparing life in the early 1800’s to life today.

MATH:  In math, students are starting a unit on division. Parents please note the students will not be using the traditional division algorithm.  (The way we learned.)  Please use the reference book or homelink.

 SCIENCE:  We are working with electricity unit.  The students are very excited about it, too!  They are electrified about it!

Remember:  We collect box tops for education.  The money collected is used to purchase playground equipment.  Currently the students are using sleds for sliding.  They have used footballs, jump ropes, basketballs, and other equipment.
