February 11, 2005

v     Congratulations to the following Heroes who were chosen for the month of January: Logan D., Michael W., and Libby Kain. These students were honored for displaying the qualities of honesty, effort, respect, and helping others.

v     Social studies classes are working on an Immigration Unit. We’re learning about our ancestors and the countries they came from.

v     Science classes are exploring the world of energy…needless to say we have lots of energy going around!

v     Weekly leaders for the Multiplication Mastery Marathon in math are Kalie T., Cory G., and Becky B. Math classes continue to have fun with fractions!

v     During the week of Feb. 14th-18th we will be having a school wide theme “Respectful Communication.” Classes will be focusing on kind actions and appropriate language.  Our February break is the week of February 21st-25th.

v     Flu season has hit! Be aware if you child is complaining of a headache and tummy ache, fever, and cough. These are the beginning symptoms.

v     Reminder: Classes will hold their Valentine’s Parties on Monday. Thank you to all parents who have offered to bring in food. Items can be delivered first thing Monday morning.  Enjoy the day and share your love with others.
