Grade 4 Newsletter
15 March 2007
Students
worked hard and completed their MEA’s. Make ups will be next week for those who
were absent during the regular testing time.
Social
Studies classes will be enjoying a visitor from China next week. We’ve been learning
about processing into the United States years ago. We’re anxious to hear what
processing is like today and to learn about a different culture.
In
Social Studies, students are participating in civil right lessons. The PCMS Civil Rights Team is presenting the
lessons for the fourth graders. This week, the students shared their feelings
about what makes school a fun and safe place to be.
Math
classes will be having an assessment on fractions at the end of next week.
Science
classes will be starting a unit on health. Anita Kain will be coming in next
week to help students learn about the food pyramid.
4th
and 5th grade Spelling Bee will be March 20th at 1:30 pm.
We’ll
be holding our trimester Hero assembly on March 26th to honor our
students for their accomplishments in the last trimester. More information
concerning the time will be in next week’s newsletter.
