v     MEA’s are over!  We all enjoyed a pizza party today to celebrate the effort the students put into their testing sessions.

v     Language arts classes have started a new theme, “Meet the Challenge.”  We just finished a wonderful story about playing marbles. How about learning to play a marble game as a family?

How to Play Marbles:

1.      For the game “ringer,” players use “shooter” marbles to knock other marbles, arranged in a cross, from inside the circle.

2.      Players take turns using their shooters to knock the other marbles from the circle.

3.      The goal is to knock as many marbles as possible out of the circle, which the shooter takes temporary possession of. When a player fails to knock a marble out of the circle, the player with the most marbles wins.

MARCH

A blue day,

A blue jay

And a good

Beginning.

One crow,

Melting snow,

Spring’s winning.
