Grade 4 Newsletter
30 March 2007
In Social
Studies, students are participating in civil rights lessons. The PCMS Civil Rights Team is presenting the
lessons for the fourth graders. This week, the students learned what it looks
like to be a good listener.
Math classes will
start learning about percents.
Science classes
are taking a closer look at food labels and serving sizes. Mrs. Kain will be a
visitor again next week.
Congratulations
to all of our students that received awards at our trimester ceremony on
Monday. Keep up the good work… only one more trimester to go.
The fourth grade
teachers are currently taking a reading class. The students are enjoying new
ways of comprehending and discovering the joy of using other strategies in the
wonderful world of literature.
In an effort to
support the University of Maine Hockey and their achievement of making it to
the NCAA Frozen Four, Thursday April 5th is GO BLUE day. Please encourage your students to wear
something blue that day to school.
Welcome Spring!
Remember, the weather is still cool and students need to be dressed
appropriately with jackets, hats, and mittens for recess.
