Grade 4 Newsletter

SOCIAL STUDIES: We’re looking forward to our trip to Augusta on Wednesday. Students will be having an assessment in government the end of next week.

 

MATH: Math students continue to work on rates.

 

SCIENCE: Students should be creating their shoe racers that are due May 30th.

 

Title One: Reminder…our garden needs tulips…students need to be reading and reporting their titles and authors. Ms. Maiello is still looking for the garden to grow. 

 

Movement Month: PCMS is participating in a “May is Movement Month”. Fourth graders will be participating three times a week  (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday) in a walking program at the high school track. Please be sure your child is dressed appropriately for walking these days. We’ve walked a total of 255 miles as of Monday.

 

Spring Wellness Carnival: Saturday May 13, 2006 for grades K-5…from 9-12 at PCMS gym. Come join in the fun with games, prizes, music, face painting, and the Cake Walk.

 

Bangor Symphony: Grade four will be going to the Bangor Symphony to a performance on May 22nd. We will be leaving first thing in the morning and returning for lunch. Please be sure your child is here on time that morning.

 

Teacher Appreciation: A big thank you to all who contributed to our yummy food that was presented to the teachers this week.

 

Augusta: We will be leaving on Wednesday, May 17th for our annual trip to the State House and Museum. Please be sure your child comes with a lunch from home if that was your choice. We will be visiting the State Museum Gift Shop. Students may bring five dollars if they wish to make a purchase.
