Grade 4 Newsletter

Thank you to all parents
that helped with the shoe racers. The students have enjoyed trying out their
creations. Watch out Indy 500 here we come!
Social Studies classes will
be learning about Acadia National Park before we take our field trip on June 15th.
We are hoping for sunshine!
Don’t forget to bring
sunscreen, extra bottle of water, towel, plastic bag, a change of clothing, and
five dollars for ice cream. No swimming suits are allowed and please remember
to send a jacket or sweatshirt. The coast can be very chilly. Children need
their rides waiting at 5:30.
Congratulations to our May
Heroes: Emma T., Sami R., and David W.
Thank you to the parents
that attended our spring concert.
A flyer was sent home this
week about the summer reading program at the Guilford Memorial Library.
Chewonki will be there for a presentation on bats and bringing their bat
mobile! Don’t miss out! We enjoyed our
visit and our hope is that all students will revisit the library and dive into
some good books!
Be sure to send a note to
school if your child has participated in a community service in the last
trimester. We want students recognized for their hard work.
All library books and
classroom textbooks need to be returned to school and lunch paid in full for
the year in order for students to be promoted to fifth grade. Students who have
lost books will be responsible for replacement cost.
