Grade
4 Newsletter
1
September 2006
v
Welcome to our weekly newsletter! Each Friday you can expect
to receive a copy along with your child’s weekly report and his/her papers.
(Short weeks and early dismissal Fridays you may receive only the newsletter
like today.) The newsletter will keep you informed of what grade 4 is doing and
suggest activities for your family to do to support your child’s learning.
v
Have you heard about Merit Dollars yet? Ask your child.
He/she can earn them in a variety of ways (one of which is if you sign the
assignment book each night on the bottom line for that day) and spend them on
special events held about once a month.
v
All lunch/milk money is to be sent in an envelope with your
child’s first and last name clearly marked on the outside. It is preferable
that the money be sent the first day of the week.
v
There will be a special presentation for parents at 7 PM on
September 5 in our school cafeteria. Dr. McDermott will be explaining the
5-2-1-0 program designed to help all of our children be healthier. All parents
are welcome to attend.
v
There will be no activity bus next week. Parents will need
to arrange transportation for children attending IM’s.
v
Fourth graders are off to a great start! We are having fun
getting to know each other, and they are beginning to learn the new routines of
PCMS. The fourth grade team looks forward to working with you this year to help
your child grow and learn. Please contact us anytime you need to. You can write
a note in your child’s assignment book, or we can be reached via email or phone
