v     Welcome to our weekly newsletter! Each Friday you can expect to find a copy stapled with your child’s papers and his/her individual weekly report. Please take the time over the weekend to review the packet with your child.

v     All lunch/milk money is to be sent in an envelope with your child’s first and last name clearly marked on the outside. It is preferable that the money be sent the first day of the week.

v     Your child will earn a merit dollar each week if you sign his/her assignment book each night on the last line for that day (even if he/she has no homework). Merit dollars are used to “buy” special activities or things about once a month throughout the year.

v     On Saturday, Sept 11, there will be a Healthy Community Walk for parents and children at 10:30 at the YMCA in Dover to promote walking rather than watching cartoons.

v     Intramural forms went home this week. Students will be playing soccer and basketball for the next two months. Please keep the calendar you were given posted, as days vary each week when your child will participate.

v     Next week we will begin the annual magazine drive! Money earned from this program pays for special events throughout the year. Therefore, the more magazines sold the more special things we get to do! Please support your child in his/her efforts to sell some subscriptions.

v     Fourth graders are off to a great start! We are having fun getting to know each other, and they are beginning to learn the required routines.
