Next Tuesday we will have an
assembly to kick off our annual school-wide magazine drive fundraiser. Look for
your child’s packet explaining the details. Please participate if possible.
Students have fun earning prizes for magazine subscriptions sold, and our
school earns a profit for each one. This money is used to fund special events
such as field trips.
v
PCMS participates in the Boxtops
for Education program. Call all your relatives, neighbors, and friends and ask
them to save these labels from food products they use. Each one earns 10 cents.
This money is used to fund new playground balls, jump ropes, sleds, etc.

Math classes will be having
their first assessment next Friday. Extra practice at home on addition and
subtraction facts will be a big help! A review sheet will go home on
Thursday.

Science classes are working on
animals and food chains.

In social studies students will
be learning about the geography of the

Students are enjoying their
library times and the opportunity to check out books to read. Please help
ensure these are returned to school on your child’s library class days.

Want to improve your child’s
reading and writing abilities? Start writing him/her notes each day, leaving
them on the pillow, beside the bathroom mirror, etc. Have colorful paper and
fancy pens or pencils available and encourage your child to write back to you.
