- Picture day is Monday. Be sure to send your child with the complete forms and money if you’re purchasing pictures.
- The students enjoyed their first merit dollar event (an extra recess) on Thursday afternoon. Encourage them to continue to earn money. We plan one activity each month for students to spend.
- If your 4th grader is interested in the Yoga classes, have them return the forms that were sent home immediately. It will be limited to 15 students. By practicing yoga your child will strengthen, stretch and tone muscles, improve balance and coordination, increase bodily awareness, learn to listen and follow directions, laugh and have fun.
- Social Studies classes will be having their first assessment next week. Students will be coming home with a study guide and vocabulary words to review.
- Math classes will soon be starting a review of multiplication facts learned last year. Ten minutes of daily home practice will help your child become successful.
- Science classes are learning how to use microscopes. Next week classes will be learning about biodiversity.
- Be sure to send your child with a warm jacket or sweatshirt. The weather is becoming chilly.
- Fluoride forms were sent home this week. Please be sure to return these as soon as possible.
- The tenth annual Womancare River Runs and Family Walk will be held Saturday, Oct. 7th, 2006. The Student Council will pledge $1 per child who participates.
Don’t forget Friday, Oct. 6th is an early release day. The following week is our Oct. vacation.
