- PCMS
will be holding a mock election on November 2. We will be having a
presentation by Senator Paul Davis the week before to help us be more
informed about the election process.
- Social
studies classes are learning about government and citizenship.
- Language
arts classes have read a story about the Great Yellowstone fire this week.
We took a “video tour” of the park and would all love to go there to see
the wildlife like bison and elk and unusual landforms such as geysers and
the Grand Canyon!
- In
math classes we are working on mastering those multiplication facts. Keep
practicing and filling in the log sheet at home
to earn a merit dollar! Several students were interested in purchasing
their own calculators like the ones we have in class. The TI-15 Explorer
is available at staples.com for $19.95.
- Science
classes will finish their unit on ponds and communities early next week.
The next unit will be on conservation. That connects well with the stories
we are enjoying about Earth Patrol at reading time.
- Cooler
weather is here. Be sure your child has a jacket for recess time. Our
playground faces north and gets quite a cool breeze even on nice days.
- Remember
to save Boxtops for Education! Send them in
anytime in a baggie.
