BLACK & ORANGE DAY: Just for fun, we’re asking students to dress in black and orange on October 31. We’ll also have a Merit Dollar Event that day!

HEALTHY STUDENTS, HEALTHY SCHOOLS: On November 1 at 6:30 PM in the PCMS cafeteria Dr. David McDermott will offer a presentation about the challenges of overweight youth and what we are doing to address this issue in Piscataquis County. Please come learn about this serious problem and possible solutions.

STUDENT-LED CONFERENCES: At PCMS conferences are held in a different format than at the elementary level. We have student-led conferences, which means your child and you will meet to look at and discuss his/her work and progress. Be aware that there will be other parents and students in the room at the same time. Teachers will also be available that night to discuss questions you may have. We will be preparing the children in class for how to present their work to you. You will soon be receiving a notice from Mr. Andrews, guidance counselor, to schedule an appointment on November 9 or 10. We look forward to seeing you!

CHRISTMAS GIFTS: Are you already thinking Christmas and tired of the same old toys for your children? Try shopping at www.mindwareonline.com. Their games and activities will keep your children busy long after the holiday season is over!

HOLIDAY NEWS: The Guilford Area Kiwanis is doing their annual Holiday Giving Campaign.  If you need assistance around the December holidays for items such as clothing, necessities, or play items, call:  Carrie 876-3312 or 876-3407 by November 5th.  If you would like to donate a toy or money call Carrie or drop off things at Guilford Key Bank, Guilford Rite Aid or the Guilford Library.
