the month of November. Many thanks to the parents who attended Marvelous
Multiplication for Moms and Dads Wednesday evening!
v READING: Is your child reading daily at home? He or
she should be. Bedtime is a great time to read. Sit with your child and take
turns reading and discussing the book. Read the book ahead of your child and
stick a post-it where you left off with a question for your child to think
about. Start a reading diary with your child where you each write an entry
about what you have been reading. There are so many wonderful ways to model and
encourage good reading habits for children!
v
SCIENCE:
The amaryllis plants are growing, but at very different rates!
v SOCIAL STUDIES: Students learned about the
significance of Veterans Day.
v PLEASE NOTE: Conferences at PCMS are conducted differently than
at the elementary level. The STUDENT is the leader of the conference. He/she
shares and discusses his/her work with the parents. Teachers join for
additional input and conversation with both student and parents. There may be
other conferences ongoing at the same time as yours. Please enter the room and
follow your childŐs lead. The students will have been instructed how to conduct
the conference. Thank you for participating and allowing your child this
opportunity to demonstrate his/her learning to you.
