Second Quarter Ends

The end of the second quarter falls on Friday the 18th. Students who are behind in work must have it caught up by that date. If there have been absences due to illness, extensions will follow the guidelines in the Student Handbook, 2001/2002.

Conferences

Teachers encourage parents and guardians to maintain contact concerning your child. Whether you have had a conference or not with 6th grade teachers, you are welcomed to call or send a note with your child to make arrangements to meet with us. The school phone is 876-4301. You may leave voice mail if the teacher is not available.

Ski Trip

This is an advanced notice that the sixth grade will be going on a one-day field trip to ski at Squaw Mountain for downhill or to Monson for cross-country. The trip is set for February 28. Students should be thinking about which trip they would like to take.

Florida Connection

The sixth grade students will soon begin connecting with students in a sixth grade class in Florida. The class in Florida is led by Mrs. Titcomb’s daughter, and they want to learn more about Maine. Students will be exchanging information about each other’s home states and their schools. This is a great way to get to know others and to tell how great it is to live here. We hope to start the program the week of January 21.

Books

Book orders for Mr. Savage’s homeroom are due Monday, January 14.
