PCMS – Aug 26, 2004 – Students returned to school at Piscataquis Community Middle School. Homerooms were assigned, teachers were greeted, and class schedules were perused. Students were most anxious to return to friendships they had left in June and to discover what a new year in a new grade would mean for them. Teachers also look forward to new faces and great expectations for scholars.

PARENT NIGHT - Parents are invited to meet teachers and get to know their children’s new environment. The date is September 7, at 7:00 PM. Parents will meet in the gym first, then go to your child’s homeroom area to greet teachers.

PLEASE REVIEW – Students will be bringing home many documents during this time. Please take the time to review these and take whatever action you need to as soon as possible.

WEEKLY PAPERS – Generally you may expect your child to bring home graded work and this newsletter at the end of each week. If you have missed the newsletter, check the district web site, www.sad4.com. We will do our best to put it there each week. It will also be seen at the Powerschool site. We want you to have every opportunity to receive important information.

SUPPLIES – If your child was in the fifth grade at PCMS last year, they received a list of items needed for school. Some will not have the list because they are new to us, or the list was “misplaced”. In any case, we have the list on the back of this newsletter for you convenience.
