Grade Six Newsletter

August 31, 2007

Welcome back to another school year. The first week of school is always exciting as friends get back together and stories of summer adventures are exchanged. This first week contains a lot of information for parents and students to absorb, so the newsletter will be somewhat informal.

The newsletter is for parents and students alike and contains important information for both. It will usually go home on the last day of the week, so parents can be watching for it.

Parents are reminded to send in free/reduced lunch applications as soon as possible.

Monday is Labor Day, September 3. There is no school.

PARENT TIP: This item will carry a small bit of information that may be helpful to parents of sixth graders (awesome year). Most parents already practice these. For this week: Help your child find a place of his or her own to do homework without distraction.
