MATH TEST Mrs. Hobart is conducting one of her best tests on Monday, September 27. The test covers Unit #1, and students should be prepared by then.
MAPS AND GLOBES The final exam for maps and globes is scheduled for Tuesday, September 28. Students have done a lot of map and vocabulary work and should be well prepared for this one. Social Studies notes should go home Monday evening. Next we go to Mesopotamia, the land where civilizations began.
HEALTH CLASS - Students role-played skits they had created that demonstrated the effect that one's treatment of others can have on their self-concept.
SCIENCE TEST Mrs. Titcomb will be conducting a unit test for Science on Monday, September 27. Students should focus on chapter one, concept maps. It may seem a lot of testing is planned for next week, but teachers feel students are well prepared.
FIRST FEW WEEKS Students in the sixth grade have done remarkably well during the beginning of this new year. Much is asked of them in the first few weeks, and, as teachers, we feel most have responded by putting their best foot forward. All class work in each subject is now graded in accordance with the standards of the Maine Learning Results, and many students are striving to attain their very best.
DOWN THE ROAD The district 5 music festival will be on November 5. Conferences are scheduled for the week of November 15. Watch the newsletter for more details.
