GRADE SIX NEWS

PARENT MEETING – We had a very successful parent meeting Thursday discussing the annual trip to Quebec City and the fund raising needed. This year’s grade six class is off to a great start with some of the funds already on account and a positive outlook on funds from the magazine sales. Parents will be working to raise the balance needed to take the trip. Be on the lookout for more news about how you can help.

HERO – The sixth grade HERO for the month of September is Troy Violette. Mr. Andrews and the sixth grade teachers recognized him during lunch on Thursday. Troy was also surprised to have his mom in attendance. As we all know HERO stands for being Honest, giving a strong Effort, having Respect, and for helping Others. Congratulations Troy!

HEALTH CLASS –Health - Students are constructing a paper model of the skeletal system.

ENJOY – Students are on vacation from October 11 to October 15. We hope everyone has a restful week. We will see you all on October 18.

GRADES – Midterm grades will be sent home after the vacation break. Conferences will be scheduled shortly thereafter. Parents should be looking for a schedule from Mr. Andrews.

DOWN THE ROAD –The district 5 music festival will be on November 5. Conferences are scheduled for the week of November 15. Watch the newsletter for more details.
