Grade Six Newsletter

October 26, 2007

HALLOWEEN – We remind all students to be very careful during the upcoming Halloween celebration. If you are out at dark many drivers may not see you crossing streets. We want you back without bumps and bruises.

STUDENT-LED CONFERENCES – If parents have not yet signed up for conferences, scheduled for November 13th and 15th, they still may do so. Return the form that came with the mid-term report or ask your child to pick up a new form from Mr. AndrewsÕ office.

FLAG TEAM – As many parents already know, our district will recognize local veteransÕ of military service next month. The sixth grade will present two events. The class as a whole will sing ÒThis Land is Our LandÓ, and a team of six students will perform a ceremonial folding of the flag. These students are Danica French, Terran Welcome, Kelsey Callins, Spencer Martell, Danielle Spaulding, and Zachary McKenney.

SOCIAL STUDIES – The final test for Mesopotamia Studies is coming soon to a classroom near you. The week of November 5 is the target. Notebooks should be up to date and ready for study.

PARENT TIP – We try to remind students to wash hands often to avoid contracting or spreading colds or other ailments. Please encourage them to do so at home as well.
