A MESSAGE FROM MR. BELLEMARE

The Guilford Area Kiwanis is doing their annual Holiday Giving Campaign.  If people need assistance around the December holidays such as clothing, necessities or l play item they can call:  Carrie 876-3312 or 876-3407.  If they would like to donate a toy or money call Carrie or drop off things at Guilford Key Bank, Guilford Rite Aid or the Guilford Library.  If they could call before November 5th it would be appreciated.  

 

HEALTHY STUDENTS, HEALTHY SCHOOLS

A discussion about the challenges of youth overweight and what we are doing to address this in Piscataquis County”.  Dr. David McDermott from Dover-Foxcroft will offer a presentation program for families about youth overweight and local initiatives to help make a difference on Tuesday evening, November 1st at 6:30 PM at the Piscataquis Community Middle School cafeteria.  Please come to learn about this serious problem and some solutions to it.

 

FROM MRS. ALLEN

Students are in the final stages of completing their paper model of the skeletal system. Please review the following vocabulary terms with them: cranium, mandible, clavicle, rib cage, sternum, xiphoid process, pelvis, humerus, radius, ulna, femur, tibia, fibula, patella. Please come see them in the health room during student-led conferences.

 

WEARING OF THE ORANGE

A reminder that hunting season starts Nov. 1 and runs through Nov. 26.

For safety sake, please wear orange when you are out and about.
