PARENT/TEACHER CONFERENCES

Mr. Andrews is feverishly scheduling parent/teacher conferences. In an effort to see everyone who has requested a meeting, we have added November 19th, the afternoon of November 22, and December 3. See you soon.

KICKING OFF THE TREE UNIT

Gordon Moore, Maine State Forester, came to give a forestry talk to the 6th grade on Monday. He was impressed with our student's knowledge of the forest. The kiddos are working on a poster for a state wide competition entitled "What's Green And Growing And Covering Maine".

MR. SAVAGE GOES TO EGYPT

This week begins the study of Egypt in social studies class. Be prepared to hear about lots of "Mummies", but little about "Daddies"

THE CANDLE DRIVE IS ON

Laura Gourley and troops got candle information to school last week. It went home with students on Friday. We're in hopes of a big turn out to get us on the road to Quebec City. Sell, sell, sell.

DIME COLLECTION

The students are bringing in dimes to fill gallon jugs in each classroom. Right now, Mr. Savage is way ahead of the pack. What's with that!!!

VETERAN'S DAY

School will NOT be in session on Monday, November 11, in recognition of Veterans Day. With our country involved in the War on Terrorism, it is especially fitting that we recognize and give honor to our veterans.
