QSP magazine drive will end next Friday.  Mrs. Rich’s homeroom currently holds the lead in orders placed.  Good luck to all homerooms in the final week of the fundraising drive.

 

Open House:  Thanks to all parents and students who attended the Open House. It’s always helpful to attach faces to names and start off the year with positive communication.

What’s Going on Upstairs:
Mrs. Rich’s 7th grade LA classes are creating electronic notebooks for reading, and are learning one new word per week. This assignment is due every Tuesday.

 

*Mrs. Rich’s 8th grade LA classes are working on Latin root words, prefixes, and suffixes.  The “Create-a-Word” dictionary project is due Tuesday, Sept. 25.

 

Mr. Webb’s social studies classes have Current Events Journal due Tuesday, Sept. 25.

 

Mrs. Moulton’s 7th grade math classes are drawing, measuring, & classifying angles in geometry.

 

Ms. Dall’s  8th grade math classes are also studying geometry with the classification and drawing of angles and triangles.  Next week, polygons and the area of polygons will be introduced.

 

Mr. Draper’s 7 & 8th grade classes have been studying the metric system and the periodic table of elements.

 

CLC Sessions now available:

                        Bridges with Mr. Moen, Tuesdays and Thursdays

                        Amer-Asian Anime’ Comics with Mrs. Dyer at PCHS, Tuesdays and Thursdays.
