8th Grade News letter

VETERANS’ DAY

The eighth grade is planning a school wide patriotic assembly to honor veterans of the SAD 4 communities.  It will be held on November 10, at 1:00 p.m.  Students throughout the school have been asked if they have a family member or family friend who is currently serving or retired from the military or reserves.

 

STUDENT LED CONFERENCES

Student led conferences are Wednesday and Thursday evenings (11/9 and 11/10).  Eighth grade conferences will be held in the cafeteria.  Mr. Andrews is scheduling the appointments.

 

 

HEALTH CLASSES

Grade 8 students are exploring the long-term effects that alcohol can have on the body. Mrs. Allen will be available in room 225 to meet with parents during student-led conferences next Wednesday and Thursday beginning at 5:00 PM both days following the CLC fitness program she runs at Guilford Primary.

 

BASKETBALL

Basketball tryouts begin on Monday.  Students need to be sure they have all the necessary paperwork in order before trying out for the teams.

 

DISTRICT MUSIC

CONGRATULATIONS to the eighth grade students who will participate in a music competition Saturday at 4:00 p.m. at SeDoMocha Middle School in Dover. They include: A Bowley,   Clarinet; L Bussell, Alto Sax; T Tylor, Trumpet.  Chorus members include N Larrabee and

N Saunders.
