Our goal at P.C.M.S. is to provide a positive and challenging academic program of core subjects. We expose students to a variety of opportunities and programs that will expand their base of knowledge. Our hopes are that they will be successful in whatever pursuits they choose later in life.
We recognize that it takes a community to raise a child. We attempt to open lines of communication and involve parents into many aspects of school life. We foster programs or activities that recognize accomplishments and facilitate teamwork.
We realize that all students vary in their learning approach. Therefore, we use a team concept and a variety of interdisciplinary strategies to facilitate learning. We place students in the best possible learning environment.
Finally, our stated expectations to the students are honesty, effort, respect and caring. We will monitor and model these core beliefs. Please feel free to call anyone on the staff at any time if we can be of help to you.
Directions to School:
Guilford is located on Route 15 approximately 50 miles Northwest of Bangor, Maine. After entering the town limits, turn north on Route 150, Blaine Avenue, and continue approximately 100 yards. The district campus sign identifies the drive for both the high school and middle school. Piscataquis Community High School is located on the right, and the Piscataquis Community Middle School is the building to the left and further back on the drive. The middle school main entrance is located under the right side of the covered walkway.
