PERFORMANCE INDICATORS: The learner will
1. Operate independently various components of an integrated productivity software package
and determine mote effective component to complete a specific task, e.g. ClarisWorks
for Kids, AppleWorks, Microsoft Office, etc.

PERFORMANCE INDICATORS: The learner will
1. Use technology to develop and illustrate thoughts, ideas, stories and problems
Use hyperlinked multimedia tools to design and publish or present group projects
Develop individual WWW pages
Integrate resources from various media (e.g. Internet, e-mail, scanned info, photos, drawings, etc.) into a cohesive product that communicates ideas or research
Utilize course specific programs to simulate and explore real world problems.
2. Investigate curriculum-related concepts, issues and information
Access various resources on the Internet independently for individual use or class projects to extend learning activities and to pursue self-directed learning
Properly document research sources found online in their work using MLA format
Independently explore the credibility of information obtained through a variety of resources
Analyze information gathered from multiple sources and present findings in a coherent and organized fashion
3. Collaborate electronically with others to gather and disseminate information
4. Compare the process of using technology to do work versus doing things the old
fashioned way (e.g. e-mail versus snail mail, word processed reports versus hand written
