Many of the Scholarships awarded by PCHS are processed through the Maine Community Foundation in Ellsworth, Maine. Their web site is: www.mainecf.org.

The Guilford/PCHS Alumni Committee makes occasional donations to the Maine Community Foundation for students from the dues we collect. We encourage former alumni to visit the above web site and consider making an investment to the Foundation to benefit the students of PCHS.

Since 1983, over 6,000 donors have helped created a $99 million charitable endowment, the income from which supports Maine nonprofit organizations and public agencies today, and in the future.

The following scholarship funds are administered by the Maine Community Foundation for the benefit of P.C.H.S. students:

Individuals or classes may contribute to any of the above funds.

Classes who wish to have their own funds identified to their class (i.e. class of 1920 Scholarship Fund) may deposit those funds into the Maine Community Foundation. When the fund reaches a level of $10,000, MCF will invest the money in the stock market under whatever designation the class intended. Scholarship awards can be based on criteria the class sets up. A class or group who wishes such a fund may choose to make it generic by class year or memorialize the fund for a classmate, or other entity.

Class representatives or groups may also contact www.cf.org for further information. Karen Hartt is a contact point at 1-877-700-6800 or 207-667-9735 or email her at khartt@mainecf.org.
