Robin's Home Page

Hello, my people of the castle. My name is Robin. I am also the main character in the story The Door in the Wall.
My mom goes to work in a village outside of the castle De Lindsay. After my mother left I lost my legs, believed to be caused by the plague.

My father works at the castle, so people call me me Master Robin. On my journey to the castle I met two other people. One was John-go-in-the-Wynd, and other is a Monk named Brother Luke. Even though I have no use of my legs, they both help me build up my arms instead of not trying anything at all.
If it wasn't’t for Brother Luke and John, I would probably not survived. Thank goodness that they found me helped. I am so glad for the many things they had taught me. Since they are at the castle with me, we will never be that far apart.

I am paralyzed from the waist down as believed I have the plague. I am not the strongest person you might know, but I stick up for myself. I am not tall either .I know how to swim. I learned so I could build up my arms.
I lived in 1400’s ( no, people didn't’t live that long either). I lived in England, near London Bridge. It was a mere cottage that I lived in but it served me well.
I love to carve wood, swim, read, and write. I learned to read because I am royal. I write to Emu mother from the castle.
In the end I stay at the castle with my father. John is the one that taught me how to carve wood, and how I like to make harps.
Others relate to me because I am brave and stick up for myself and even though others might not. In the times that I lived in, we didn’t have great things like you do now and we certanly didn’t have the luxuries that you guys have today.
Mostly when I am an the trail and that the castle, I think about my mom and how she raised me. When I am lying in bed I think of what it’s like to be my father and my mom and how their lives are.

I often wonder what would have happened to me if didn’t have John or Brother Luke with me.
